A transformative three-day town hall meeting has ignited a surge of civic engagement and empowerment among Abia citizens, courtesy of a collaborative effort between Enough is Enough (EIE) and Dr. Margaret Teens Foundation. By bringing people together under the banner of "My LGA," this dynamic workshop has created a powerful platform for citizens to assert their rights and assume their responsibilities.
Miss Vivian Chigbu, founder of Dr. Margaret Teens Foundation, passionately called for action against child abuse, rape, and gender-based violence. "Let's unite against these injustices and create a safer, more just society for all," she urged.
Mrs. Blessing Chukwunyere, Local Government Coordinator, emphasized community engagement, stressing that citizens must take ownership of their communities and demand accountability from their leaders.
Mrs. Jane Jite, Desk Officer for Isiala Ngwa North, encouraged participants to drive positive change and grassroots development.
As the event continues in Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abians are expected to come out, learn, and grow. The town hall meeting serves as a call to action, empowering citizens to embrace their rights and responsibilities. The organizers aim to fuel this momentum, inspiring lasting change and community-led progress.
