Immediate past Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has expressed profound sadness over the demise of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Ikpeazu, in a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Onyebuchi Ememanka, described Iwuanyanwu as a colossus of industrialization and social development, highlighting his numerous contributions to Igbo land. He recalled Iwuanyanwu's establishment of Hardel and Enic Engineering Company Limited, Champion Newspapers, and his takeover of Spartans Football Club, renamed Iwuanyanwu Nationale Football Club.
The former Governor praised Iwuanyanwu's passion for Igbo concerns, dedication, and leadership, particularly during his tenure as President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Ikpeazu sent his condolences to Iwuanyanwu's family and the entire Igbo community, thanking God for his life and legacy.
