Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, the suspended Commissioner for Health in Abia State, has tendered her resignation to Governor Alex Chioma Otti.
According to sources, Dr. Okoronkwo's resignation comes after intense pressure from the Governor's office. Governor Otti has accepted her resignation, thanking her for her services to the state.
Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo was suspended by Governor Alex Otti due to allegations of gross misconduct and financial impropriety. The State Government stated that her suspension was intended to facilitate an investigation into the allegations to determine her culpability or innocence.
However, the outcome of the investigation remains unknown to the public, as Governor Otti has chosen not to disclose it.
