Group Slams OUK for Misleading Claims on Road Project

USO

The Abia Rejoice Movement has refuted claims by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu that he facilitated the award for the rehabilitation of the Uturu-Akara road project by the Federal Government of Nigeria. In a statement released on June 15, the group stated that their leader, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (USO), was responsible for funding the engineering design and sponsoring site visits to obtain presidential approval for the project's rehabilitation.

The group accused Kalu of attempting to scuttle the project by ensuring insufficient budgetary allocation and claimed that Kalu has a history of preferring substandard construction jobs. They also challenged Kalu to name any project he has executed with a reputable contractor.

According to the statement, USO has documentary evidence proving his role in attracting the road project, and the group challenged Kalu to display his own letter of approval from the Presidency. The Abia Rejoice Movement emphasized that Kalu's claims were an attempt to seek relevance and validation at all costs.

This development comes amid a long-standing feud between Kalu and Ogah, with both politicians trading accusations and counter-accusations. The Abia Rejoice Movement's statement is the latest in the ongoing dispute, as they seek to set the record straight on the Uturu-Akara road project.
