The Abia Rejoice Movement has refuted claims by the media office of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) regarding the Uturu (ABSU)-Akara Road project. According to the movement, Dr. Uche Ogah, CON, is the brain behind the rehabilitation of the road, not OUK.
The movement stated that the road was included in the 2020 and 2021 Appropriation Acts, contrary to OUK's claim that it was not in the budget until 2022. They challenged OUK to provide official documents to support his claim, as Dr. Ogah has done.
The movement also questioned OUK's assertion that the former president gave him a parting gift by rehabilitating the road, stating that there is no official correspondence to support this claim. They further stated that OUK tried to scuttle the project but failed.
The Abia Rejoice Movement concluded that OUK has no role in the initiation of the road's rehabilitation and is only trying to claim credit for someone else's work.
